Real Madrid has a long history of handling a talented young player. As with other giants in the European region, Real Madrid has a well-established football academy system.

No wonder if many young players who come to Real Madrid, then gain knowledge and managed to become a footballer reliably. They are not only a career in Real Madrid, but also a star in another club.

Iker Casillas

Back in November 1997, a 16-year-old Iker Casillas was in school. That’s when he gets word has been selected in the squad of Real Madrid who travel to Norway to play in the Champions League.

In October 1994, 17-year-old Raul made his debut for Real Madrid. He won assists in his first game.

The match ended 2-2 in a heated state with two red cards shown to Dani Alves and Ivan Helguera. Zinedine Zidane also scored in the game.

Months later, 19-year-old Ramos sits next to Zidane in Real Madrid’s dressing room, trundled with a € 27 million dowry and making him the most expensive young Spanish player ever. At that time he is a central defender who sometimes plays as a defensive midfielder.

He has now been in the club for 12 seasons and gives many memories. Ramos also often print important goals for Madrid. The most famous goal of this defender is during extra time against Atletico Madrid in the 2014 Champions League final (92:48).

When Casillas leaves the club to Porto, Ramos takes the captain’s armband. No one else in the club is committed and determined as he is. Ramos has won 15 trophies at Real, including three European titles (two of which he scored in the final.


Madrid brings the Brazilian full-back when he was 18 years old in January 2007. Marcelo is considered as a precise successor Roberto Carlos.
