BLSKS performers during ‘Doli’ musical play in Jammu on Monday.

JAMMU, July 11: Bhartiya Lok Sangeet Kala Sansthan (BLSKS) in collaboration with Sangam Tru Art Production here today performed the musical play ‘Doli’ based on the theme of World Population Day-2022- ‘A World of 8 Billion: Towards a Resilient Future for All – Harnessing Opportunities and Securing Rights and Choices for All’.
The program was opened by keynote guest, Dr. Anju Dogra of J&K Health Department, while VK Magotra, former Regional Director, Field Advertising Branch; JK Raina, independent producer-director and Dr. Tara Singh Charak, former medical director were the guests of honour.
The songs featured in the music piece were written and conducted by Dr. M. L. Dogra, former Deputy Director of Song and Drama Division.
The program started with songs like ‘Badti Aabadi Roko, Zimmedari Nibhao Plan Banao’ etc.
The chief guest said another way to observe World Population Day is to raise awareness and raise awareness.
Earlier, the welcome speech was delivered by Dr. ML Dogra, President of BLSKS.
He also highlighted this year’s theme which is based on safeguarding the health and rights of women and girls around the world.
Usha Raina, BLSKS Treasurer also spoke on this occasion.
The singers, musicians, actors and students from the Institute of Music and Informatics who performed in the concert were Rajni Gupta, Vandana Gupta, Sudesh Manhas, Bindia Okheda, Mohd Afroz, Sunil Kumar Dalotra, Chahat Chadha, Rahul Kumar and others.
Sunil Kumar presented a vote of thanks.
