Children pledge to make J&K ‘Nasha Mukt’ during a program organized by BLSKS in Jammu.

JAMMU, 26th April: Bhartiya Lok Sangeet Kala Sansthan (BLSKS) in collaboration with J&K Social Welfare Department and Sangam Tru Art Production presented Dogri Musical Mega Play “Nashe Kola Bacho” at Perfect Foundation Public School, Janipur Colony, Jammu.
On the occasion, MC Kotwal (BLSKS secretary) administered a pledge on “Nasha Mukt Bharat Abhiyan” to more than 100 students and teachers. The program was inaugurated by Sheetal Manhas, Principal of Perfect Foundation Public School, Janipur. Among the guests of honor present were Preeti Kotwal, Priyanka Thakur and Supriya Ragotra, head teachers from the host school.
The musical piece ‘Nashe Kola Bacho’ has been staged with the sole purpose of rejuvenating the traditional and primitive folk, art and culture of the J&K region in particular and India in general. Specially prepared items on the theme were “Nasha Nai Kario Munde Kureio”, “Bacho Bacho Tobacoo Kola Bacho”, “Nai Pee Shraban”, “Bari Kharab Chutki”, “Nahin Piya Tobacco Balma”, “Aj Gali Gali Aur Gaoun Goun Mai Sabne Azam Uthaya Hai and “Laga Graan Sarde Setu Da Mela”.
Nukkad, skits, songs and dances were also performed to raise awareness among the masses. The theme songs featured on the occasion were written by Dr. ML Dogra and the music was provided by Raju Bajgal, Music Teacher, BLSKS.
The singers, musicians and actors who performed on this occasion were MC Kotwal, Raju Bajgal, Rajni Gupta, Bindia Okheda, Chahat Chadha, Sanjeev Kumar, Sudesh Devi, Rahul Kumar, Mukesh Singh, Zulekha Farid, Afroz Aalam, Sunil Dalotra and Sant Dass. .
